The Austrian-Canadian Centre was an active part of the 1988 Winter Olympics. The Austrian Olympic Committee created the “House Austria” in the Main hall and during the Olympics Austrian athletes and guests from all over the world celebrated at the Austrian-Canadian Centre. Members of the Austrian-Canadian Society were part of the Opening Ceremonies at the 1988 Olympics wearing their traditional Austrian costumes.
